Durex the brand is owned by SSL international. SSL International plc (SSL) was formed in July 1999 through the merger of Seton Scholl Healthcare plc and the London International Group plc.

The Durex brand name was derived from the three principal attributes of the product – Durability, Reliability and Excellence. The brand name was registered in 1935.

Ansell Condom brands are marketed globally through the Personal Healthcare division of Ansell Healthcare, a 96 year old company that has fostered some of the world’s most important innovations in latex condoms. Ansell manufacture and market a variety of condoms with flavours, colours, spermicide, studded and ribbed features. Ansell markets branded condoms worldwide each with its own unique marketing strategy that has been tailored to the particular country or region. The brands available within Australia are LifeStyles, Contempo, Chekmate and Xtra Pleasure.

In 1984, Ansell sold in Australia its first LifeStyles branded condoms. In only 3 years, LifeStyles grew to become the leading brand in the Australian market, thanks to the uncompromising drive to understand consumers and actively pursue the market opportunities. Four Seasons

Four Seasons was established in 1984 and has been promoting safe sex and condom research and development since then. Four Seasons is owned by Australian Therapeutic Supplies, which began in Sydney, Australia. It all started with a range of 4 different types of condoms.

Four Seasons Condoms adhere to the strictest standards control by undergoing rigorous testing methods, with each and every condom being electronically tested for any possible holes or weaknesses. A number of condoms from each batch also undergo various other tests such as the air volume test, the water submission test and the water volume laser test for batch control purposes. If any of these tests detect a percentage of underperforming condoms, the whole batch will be discarded. So you can be confident your protection is first-rate. These tests lead to Four Seasons being one of the best quality condoms brands available around the world today. This is one way of giving our customers the quality and service they deserve. Four Seasons is one of the most innovative condom brands on the market. Glyde Health Pty Ltd is a 100% Australian owned and operated company which manufactures a comprehensive range of sexual health products. With its head office in Sydney, the company bulk supplies sexual health products to government clinics, hospitals and AIDS councils around Australia as well as to commercial customers.

Glyde Ultra latex condoms are manufactured from the highest quality natural latex to the most exacting standards. Their exclusive, patented “double dipping” manufacturing process makes their condoms especially strong without increasing the thickness, thereby creating a sheer, ultra fine sheath.

The SAX mission is to promote healthy, happy and safe sex within all sections of society within the Asia-Pacific region.


SAX Health Care is an Australian company that started in late 2000. The only product being sold at that stage was the SAX branded condoms. Their main customers are currently Government organisations such as Sexual Health Clinics / AIDS Counicals, Brothels, Gay venues, adult stores and independent retailers. Whilst growing their condom sales the company commenced selling other Sexual Health and related lines such as personal lubricant, oral dams, sex toys, lingerie, disposable gloves and sponges.


SAX has already started supplying some products in South East Asia and plan to officially launch the SAX condoms there in early 2007.


All SAX condoms are made to the Australian standard, ISO 4074:2002.


Legends condoms is an 100% Australian owned and operated company started in 1999 by Daniel Moeschinger, in Queensland, Australia, who came up with the idea from the condom industry in the US. Daniel wants to create a rubbers in collectable tins business that spans the Globe with limited edition tins being produced all over the world, with different colours, commissioned designs by famous designers and joint venture releases.

The most important fact of all is that Legends Rubbers are compliant to international DIN EN ISO 4074:2002 and recognised and approved with the following organisation/departments: Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA Australia), Food and Drug Administration (FDA USA) and Medsafe (New Zealand).

Billy Boy

The Billy Boy condom brand is manufactured and distributed by MAPA GmbH in Germany. MAPA GmbH came into being when Hanseatische Gummiwerke Bachmann & Co. KG merged with other regional rubber manufacturers. This merger, together with MAPA GmbH's specialisation in natural latex and plastic products with strong brand names, has turned MAPA GmbH into a competitive and successful company.

MAPA GmbH sells its products in Europe and in other parts of the world. The company's competence in developing, producing and distributing its products is internationally acknowledged.

The production and administration divisions in the company's head office in Zeven, Germany now employ more than 600 people on industrial premises measuring 165,000 m².


Gobon condoms are manufactured and distributed by the Guilin Latex Factory, in Guilin, China. With 40 years experience in manufacturing condoms and gloves professionally, they are China’s biggest condom manufacturer and exporter, making up 40% of China’s exported condoms. They are also one of the largest condom suppliers for the United Nations Fund of Population.

The brand name is a combination of the words GOOD and BOND, expressing Gobon's sheer care and consideration for people and giving every user assured protection.

With high internationally-approved quality the whole production process realizing GMP standardised management in conformity with united, stabilised and globalised high quality standards manipulated under the control of EN46002 and ISO9001 quality management system and timely receipt of domestic and overseas experts' inspection.

Female Health Company
